Description

I really enjoy observing and imaging globular clusters. They have a 3 dimensional quality.

M5 is a large and bright globular cluster in Serpens. It was actually discovered in 1702 bt Gottfried Kirch, while he was hunting for comets (similar to Charles Messier). It is one of the oldest globular clusters.
